I had you at prego! :)

But don't worry... we are not! Although, sometimes I feel like I should be. I feel like there is an epidemic going around of pregnancy.

I attended a baby shower a week ago. There were at least five pregnant women there. Then I attended a Christmas party the other night, and there were five babies born within four months of each other with three toddlers around the same age. A couple of weeks ago, I found out six different couples were pregnant in the same week!! My friend and I were just counting the number of newborn pics that popped up on our Facebook wall this week!

Seriously, it is everywhere. This is apparently the season of our lives where everyone is expecting.

But we have chosen something different. We have chosen to wait... like five years. 

We had always said that we wanted our time before we had children. 

We want that time to focus on our relationship and make it the best it can be before we bring children into it. We want to learn one another's strengths and weaknesses. We want to know how to handle our frustrations with each other. Granted, we have been together for eight years now, but we still have a lot to learn. We are finally settling into who we are as adults and that in its self brings lots of changes.

In a time when the divorce rate is the highest it has ever been, we don't want to take any chances. We made the decision for better or worse. And we think we can make it better if... we have time for ourselves to face a few of life's curve balls.

Don't get me wrong, should be happen to become pregnant, we will take it as a blessing.

We have just made the decision to prepare ourselves for the toughest job in the world... parents.
